The following links represent current career opportunities with the Divisions and Offices in the Georgia Department of Human Services.
The State of Georgia offers special benefits for its military service members and Veterans including property tax exemptions, state employment preferences, education and tuition assistance, free driver’s licenses, vehicle tags, home care for War Veterans, as well as hunting and fishing license privileges.

Divisions
Family & Children Services
DFCS
is the part of DHS that investigates child abuse; finds foster homes for abused and neglected children; helps low income, out-of-work parents get back on their feet; assists with childcare costs for low income parents who are working or in job training; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to strengthen families.
Child Support Services
Georgia’s Division of Child Support Services (DCSS) provides resources to ensure parental obligations for child support are met that will result in the well being of children and the self-sufficiency of families.

Aging Services
The Division of Aging Services (DAS) administers a statewide system of services for senior citizens, their families and caregivers.

Offices

Office of Residential Childcare
The Office of Residential Child Care monitors, inspects, and licenses Child Caring Institutions, Child Placing Agencies, Outdoor Child Caring Programs, Children's Transitional Care Centers, and Maternity Homes.

Office of Information Technology
OIT provides computing, applications management, IT procurement, network, and telecommunications services to all divisions and offices of the Department of Human Resources.

Offices (Administrative)

The main offices are located in downtown Atlanta across from Underground Atlanta and adjacent to the Five Points MARTA rail and bus system.
